Career Profile:
Employment Resources Director #1061

This social services manager started out after high school, determined to become an engineer. However, after a year of engineer schooling he realized that he wanted a job that was more people oriented. He switched his major and left math and science behind to pursue a degree in human services.

After working in human services at a couple different manufacturing companies, he became production manager at the company at which he stills works. At the time, he was responsible for training and supervising adults with disabilities who were employed at his company.

He is currently the employment resources director for the same company. His job is to supervise the work of the production managers on staff as they help disabled adults find employment in the community. As the employment resources director, he is also responsible for establishing relationships with businesses and other agencies in the community to meet the employment needs of his clients.
