Career Profile:
Quality Control Manager #1212

Life is certainly sweet for this quality control manager. He works at a dairy plant, where they produce everything from milk to yogurt to ice cream. Although taste testing is a very important part of his job, his day is spent performing other duties.

"Keep it cool and keep it clean," is the motto at the dairy plant where he works. One of his responsibilities includes continuous spot checking of the plant's products by monitoring bacteria counts and testing pH levels. He must also randomly sample products directly off the production line to record their temperatures.

When he is not collecting data, he experiments with creating new flavors of product. Flavors he creates are taken to weekly taste test meetings, where executives decide on whether or not to produce the new flavors.

One thing is certain about this job, it is certainly not for anyone who doesn't like ice cream!
