Career Profile:
Dog Handler #1200

This dog handler doesn't believe in the saying, "Dogs are a man's best friend." She feels with proper obedience training, a dog can be a close companion to any person, regardless of gender or age.

The talent of handling animals, as well as teaching owners to properly handle their animals, is not something taught in a formal classroom setting. Hands-on experience is the best way to learn about animals and their behavior.

As a child, she worked closely with horses and has also worked briefly as a veterinarian technician. She currently owns her own business and works with tracking dogs, show dogs and even dogs aspiring to be film stars.

Although the dogs are the focus of her business, this dog handler will tell you she "is in the business of training people."
