Career Profile:
Tool and Die Maker #1007

This tool and die maker has a long and varied resume. He once worked in a grocery store, repaired power lines, and was a volunteer firefighter for 16 years.

He stumbled across a career he loves when he took a job at a factory that makes electrical controllers. He worked his way up to the tool and die department and now oversees seven people who repair dies.

Tool and die makers use trigonometry, algebra and problem solving skills everyday. He encourages students interested in becoming tool and die makers to take as much math in high school as possible.

When he's not working he enjoys a good game of golf.
