Writing is a passion for this Iowan. She freelances for the local newspaper as well as writes romance novels, which are read around the world. From her home office she is connected to editors and agents via telephone, email and fax. Although much of her day is devoted to writing, she must spend some time at the library researching the settings and characters for her novels.
Although working at home has its advantages, it requires discipline. Without a boss, it can be very easy to sneak in a nap after lunch or procrastinate. This writer has learned to avoid those pitfalls and has several books published.
