Truck Mechanic #1132 - Tape Number: 1132

Career Profile:
Truck Mechanic #1132

This lead Truck Mechanic is responsible for diagnosing vehicle problems and assisting other mechanics with repair work in an effort to get broken down trucks back on the road as quickly as possible.

As a high school student, this native Iowan became interested in engines while working on a friend's racecar. Community college gave him the education needed to land his first job. He has also worked through an apprentice program and has graduated to the journeyman level. However, computers and the changing technology of diesel engines make this profession a continuous learning process.
