Career Profile:
Producer #1065

This Director/Producer always knew she wanted to be in television. When she was young, she used to orchestrate plays with her brother and three sisters. After studying Radio/TV at one of Iowa’s private universities, she knew that hands-on experience was the key to a successful career in television.

Starting as a production assistant and climbing her way up to directing the 10 o'clock news, she is proud of her accomplishments. She was the first woman ever to direct the 10 p.m. newscast for the NBC affiliate in one of Iowa’s largest cities. After nine years in television and a year or two of marketing experience, she decided to produce documentaries for an education-based project. It is a very rewarding occupation, and she enjoys the team atmosphere; the technology; and the chance to meet people.
