Certified Prosthetist & Orthotist # 1020 - Tape Number: 1020

Career Profile:
Certified Prosthetist and Orthotist #1020

Like many people who work in the field of prosthetics and orthotics, this woman knows someone who utilizes these professionals. Her father has a prosthesis and she remembers going with him on many visits to the prosthetist/orthotist as a child.

During college, she interned for the same facility she visited growing up and discovered this was the career for her. After college she spent two years training to be a prosthetist/orthotist and two more years in a residency program.

She uses computer technology to measure, design and fit prosthetics and orthotics for her patients.

She is a member of the American Coalition for Amputees and enjoys outdoor activities. She will tell you it's a great feeling watching her patients walk out the door of her office for the first time.
