Cows, pigs and farmland are often used as collateral against loans offered by this banker. He hadn't always planned on working in a bank. He wanted to become a farmer. However, he graduated with his bachelor's degree in animal science and farm operation during a farm crisis, which caused his plans for farming to change. He was advised to enter the banking industry. Luckily, he works at a bank specializing in loans for farmers. Because of his love for the farm, he has a special bond with his customers. In addition to banking, he also raises Holstein feeder calves. A typical day for him may include making some phone calls, going through the mail, and having scheduled appointments at the bank or visiting property locations.
