Career Profile:
Astrophysicist #1095

This astrophysicist is a researcher and teacher at an urban university. He teaches physics, astronomy, electronics, electromagnetic theory, galaxies and cosmology. His duties include working with students as they perform scientific research to explore new phenomena. In addition to teaching undergraudate students, he instructs the public helping them to understand the universe. As a part of his administrative duties as chair of the university physics and astronomy department, he oversees several budgets.

This scientist's experiences have taken him outside the state as he works at remote observatories in Australia and northern Chile. He also has been an investigator with a NASA satellite mission and speaks to international groups around the world. His hobbies include rugby and chess.
