Career Profile:
Prod./Dir./On-air promo

This intern-turned-production assistant attended a small private college in Iowa to pursue a degree in elementary education. A year later, after signing up to be a DJ at the campus radio station, he fell in love with communications and switched his major to television/radio.

His creative nature was a good match with this major. In particular, he became fascinated with children's television. The magical creations of his hero, the late Jim Henson, inspired him to look for a career in the children's entertainment/education field of communications.

Immediately after college, he found just what he was looking for at a public television station and has loved every minute of it. Although he does everything from editing video to making copies, he says he wouldn't do anything else at this point in his life. A recent assignment was to produce a children's video for one of the educational projects at the station. He gets a 'Kermit the Frog' twinkle in his eye when he describes his long-term goal of creating a video series for children.
