Career Pathways
Career Pathways
Career Pathways are broad areas of study which are flexible, allowing students to change as new knowledge, skills and experiences are acquired. Each pathway provides students with an area of focus in school, along with flexibility and a variety of ideas to pursue. They provide relevance to school.
Linked to Career Pathways are occupational clusters of careers grouped together based on similar interests and strengths of the people in those careers. All pathways include a variety of occupations that require different levels of education and training.
The goal of K-12 Career Pathways and career development is to inform students about and prepare them for the world of work, post-secondary education and the reality of lifelong learning for all careers.
