A communications and marketing director/manager develops detailed marketing strategies for a company. By determining the demand for products and services offered by a company and its competitors a communications and marketing director/manager can identify potential customers.

A communications and marketing director/manager develops pricing strategies and maintains customer satisfaction while assuring the company is able to make a profit. Most communications and marketing director/managers oversee the account, creative, and media services departments of an institution. Some do direct marketing programs to targeted audiences.
