Regularly inspects machinery and checks performance. Must be able to spot minor problems and correct them before they become major ones. May work with computerized maintenance-management, vibration analysis techniques, and self-diagnostic systems. After diagnosing a problem, disassembles the equipment and repairs or replaces the necessary parts.
Tests the machine to ensure that it is running properly. Uses a wide range of tools for maintenance and repair work. Industrial Machinery Mechanic
Maintains and repairs machinery found in a plant or factory. Spends much of the time doing preventative maintenance, which includes keeping machines and their parts well oiled, greased, and cleaned.
