Describe a typical "challenge" encountered in your work:
One of the hardest things about being a physician is convincing patients to change behaviors which are bad for them. In my case, I try to teach patients to avoid the sun and wear sunscreen in order to prevent potentially deadly skin cancers.

Clearly describe what you expect from the students:
Make a list of some of the approaches a physician could use to change a patient’s behavior. (Examples: scare tactics, shocking statistics, education, targeting children, ad campaigns.) Which do you think would be the most successful and why? Discuss why patients might decide to continue dangerous behavior. (Example, low self-esteem)

In order to give the teacher some guidance in evaluating the student's project(s); list some tips that may help to assess the student's work:
Students could create a poster or an ad campaign to educate people about the dangers of skin cancer. Use multi-media technologies or simple art supplies.
