Describe a typical "challenge" encountered in your work:
A major part of my job includes 'gross dictation." When a patient has tissue, etc. removed at surgery whatever was removed is sent to pathology. In pathology (under the "direct" supervision of a pathologist - a medical doctor who has specialized in diagnosing disease) I dictate a summary of the specimen and take appropriate sections to demonstrate the features I dictated. The sections are then given to a histology technician. It is his/her job to slice very thin sections of the tissue I gave them, "fix" the thin sections to glass slides and stain the tissue for the pathologist to "read." After the pathologist has my dictation and has "read" the slides he/she diagnoses the patient's illness.

Clearly describe what you expect from the students:
Suppose a friend of the pathologist has a biopsy of a possibly malignant tumor. When you get the biopsy the specimen obviously has malignant tumor in it. Your boss, the pathologist, looks at the specimen agreeing it is malignant and then tells you to not dictate anything about the tumor. He says, "My friend has only a few days to live and I don't want him/her to know. Let my friend die in peace."
A. If you do as your boss says, nothing will happen to you.
B. If you dictate there is a tumor in the specimen, you will be fired.
C. Define the following: morals, ethics, integrity and honesty. Do the definitions of the above terms depend on the situation?

In order to give the teacher some guidance in evaluating the student's project(s); list some tips that may help to assess the student's work:
Possible discussion questions:
1. What is more important: a well-paying job or a job that you like?
2. How important is having a job that gives you a sense of contributing to society?
3. Is any job worth giving up your integrity?
4. How do you describe success in the workplace?
