Describe a typical "challenge" encountered in your work:
Think of all the things you do during an average day. You get up. You eat breakfast. You go to school. Which classes do you take? What other activities do you do? What do you do after school? Work? Sports? Music? What do you do at home before you go to bed? Talk on the phone? Use the Internet? Spend time with your family?

Clearly describe what you expect from the students:
Now, sketch out what you would cover if you were shooting a feature on yourself that will be five minutes in length. Which three or four of the things you do in a day are most important in order to describe yourself? Which parts of those activities would you focus on? Would you show them in chronological order, or some other order?

In order to give the teacher some guidance in evaluating the student's project(s); list some tips that may help to assess the student's work:
1) Did the student choose activities that accurately describe his/her day? 2) Are the chosen activities visual? (E.g. shop class is more visual than math or English, and may be a better subject for video. Math and English can be used but more creativity is required to make them visual for the viewer. How did the student overcome this problem?
