Describe a typical "challenge" encountered in your work:
In an average month prepress produces 440 total plates. That total is made up of 5 different sizes and various quantities:
29-ATF's
28-M25's
87-H36's
194-M40's
102-R55's
ATF's come 100 to a package.
M25's come 50 to a package,
H36s and M40s come 25 to a package.
R55's 200 to a package
Based on this information, how many packages of plates need to be ordered for a month's supply?



Clearly describe what you expect from the students:
Plates must be purchased by the package. On plate sizes where package quantities exceed monthly usage, show how often they need to be reordered.



In order to give the teacher some guidance in evaluating the student's project(s); list some tips that may help to assess the student's work:
This is an average month with a possible twenty percent increase. Using "just in time" inventory and cost controls are important.
