Describe a typical "challenge" encountered in your work:
A property owner decides to build a fence along his/her property line but has no idea where the line is. He/she asks us to find or determine the line.



Clearly describe what you expect from the students:
I ask my employee to do the survey; what are the steps in determining this property boundary? What information is necessary? Where do you get that information? How do you proceed in the field?



In order to give the teacher some guidance in evaluating the student's project(s); list some tips that may help to assess the student's work:
Most required information (such as plats, maps, deeds, or contracts) is found in the recorder's office at the county courthouse.
What specific information is found in each of the following: plat, map, deed, contracts.
Fieldwork consists of finding existing boundary markers(commencing or beginning points.)
