Describe a typical "challenge" encountered in your work:
A new system/process is being implemented. There is no documentation on the process steps and no one is trained. I must decide who the new system affects, what is the best way to document the process and how the training will be conducted.

Clearly describe what you expect from the students:
You are in charge of documenting a new software program being implemented that affects how the production orders are entered into the system. This will affect the process of an order from the customer through all processes until the order is shipped (data entry, production order sheets, paperwork etc).
You need to consider the following,
1) What areas of your organization are affected?
2) What instructions will need to be written/revised?
3) What is the best format to display the instructions?
4) Who will need to be trained?
5) How will the training be conducted?
6) Who will conduct the training?

In order to give the teacher some guidance in evaluating the student's project(s); list some tips that may help to assess the student's work:
1) Did the students consider how I would learn the new system to be able to document the new process?
2) How did the students identify all areas that may be affected by the change?
3) What types of formats were considered to display the instructions? (Text, pictorial, flow chart?
4) Did the students identify a training plan?
